It is not about fact, it is about attitude and appropriate response, Thu, 30 Oct 1997, 00:00 EST
because the metaphorical Bible may be used to prove anything, and it is all true, in its own way. The difference between intelligent theism and atheism is the connotation of the universe. What is the advantage in allowing imperfections in the world as a whole and in specific people bother and sadden you so? to forgive faults, to embrace and love regardless, while remembering the errors only to foster improvement with kind support and encouragement? OR to accept faults only with a relentless sigh, and ... --- MY CRAYONS DON'T MATCH THE PAINT-BY-NUMBER SCHEME the shades don't match the picture calls for a color I can't seem to find how can I evaluate its beauty without the right colors? harder, I must search. --- when someone you hold in reasonable esteem fails to live up to your ideals and expectations, it bothers you. I react and perceive differently. My ideals aren't low; they don't exist. I accept the person for what they are, nothing more or less. Should they act in a way I see as wrong; I forgive without a thought, for I love them. I remember being them; I am them: the imperfect person. Who am I to judge? Are you a Pacifist who believes in Justice? (the picture represents your point of view, which to some extent, I do understand and relate to, and I really can't honestly say that I firmly *disagree* with it, because, on some level, I do relate to it. It's sorta like I have these two, mostly opposing, points of view inside my head (one of which is obviously dominant), and I am trying to figure out how to marry them together into a synthesized whole)
